MONSTER MAN (Beck-B.,- 2023)(SF) TET,TEETH, BROWN Bx17-4 (Deadliest Catch x Hip Hop Music) 6", 36", ML, Sev-Dor., Tet, Re, 32 buds, 5 way branching Lavender pink base with burgundy eye and edge, outside edge is surrounded by giant gold teeth and waves, green throat, this flower is a bi tone with sepals of light lavender cream, white mid ribs It was a early cool morning and I was checking the seedlings when I saw Monster Man bloom for the first time. I had never seen a hem like it before. It was open and had substance so thick! I looked at it multiple times. Then I had to go to work. I came home for lunch at noon. I went right over to it and it had continued to open all morning and was wider and open more. Since then I have noted that if the mornings are warmer then it is fully open early. It makes giant scapes and great branching. When established it sends up immediate rebloom scapes. Good breeder with lots of pods and pollen is very fertile. I have an 2022 introduction that I named Infertile Myrtle. It has never made seeds for me. This year I decided to try Monster Man pollen and I got several pods. Can't wait to see these bloom. The only flaw that I can see is that Monster Man tends to have some spots on the petals here.
