We both were intrigued with her generational breakthrough daylily. Nicole had been using Undefinable for several years and had bloomed examples of the striping passed along to the children. I began crossing Undefinable into all sorts of daylilies. After many crosses, I bloomed several bridge plants to work with. R50(Marrisa Jonea x Rattlesnake Rake) x Undefinable was one of those crosses. Sandy's Tidewater Elf has always been a stellar daylily for us at Riverbend. And after several hundred crosses with R50 crossed onto Tidewater Elf, I bloomed ONE that was close to what I wanted. (I had wanted a dormant). But I was still pleased with STRIPED ACTION. It has been tested in the North and South. It has a tall scape with very consistent blooms showing stripes. It is extremely easy to hybridize with.
