A Small Multitude
Mike Huben, 2009
A very dainty, spatulate cultivar and an important breeder. Can relinquish its color within a single generation, earning fame for Mike Huben in his quest for small, reblooming, northern-hardy whites. Hasn't reached 44 inches tall for us, but we are wowed by the wildflower look and branching (and just love the array of buds and pods)! Fertile both ways.
Age of Aquarius
Moldovan, 2001
Age of Aquarius is a favorite in our garden. Right-sized, lightly textured blooms in a shade that varies between orchid pink and lavender, held on strong, nicely branched scapes. Plant is northern-bred and hardy, and reliably offers rebloom here! Easily fertile both ways.
Banned in Boston
Simpson-D., 1994
A favorite! We have always loved the name; it's an irony that something so innocuous could be banned from anything... except maybe a mobster gathering. She's HARDY, and even the puritans would have approved. Petite and sweet blooms open early in the day, sometimes with an extra petal or two. Reblooms. Fertile both ways. Reportedly shows rust resistance.
Beautiful Edgings
Nita and Donald Copenhaver, 1989
Graceful ivory blooms with a yellow to green throat and variable pale pink edge, on a hardy plant with attractive foliage and tallish, well-branched scapes. Makes STUNNING edge-no-eye children! (Check out Mountain Orchid!) Bud-builds and reblooms for a long season. Rust resistant and fertile both ways.
Beauty of the King
Jack B. Carpenter, 2004
This blue-eyed purple cultivar comes to us out of the tet conversion of Lavender Blue Baby. With hardy evergreen plant habit, it forms large fans. Bloom color is especially rich on cool mornings, offset by piecrust ruffling and an elegant, multicolored edge. What a delight to behold!
Bedbug
Williams-S., 2019
A teeny weeny triumph by Steve Williams, Bedbug has a lot going for it! Cute blooms emerge from dramatic, dark buds to display spots, stipples and stripes, all held on strong scapes above grassy foliage. We enjoy its reliable rebloom, fertility, and great increase. Although this little spatulate leans towards spidery, sleep tight- it's sweet and would never bite!
Bitsy
Warner, 1963
Although not registered as such, Bitsy is the rebloomingest daylily you might ever meet, starting early and going until frost! Widely branched scapes grow increasingly tall as the season progresses here in zone 7b. Petite blooms emerge from equally perfect little buds. Great increase and pod and pollen fertile.
Blue Dolphin
Rice-JA, 2011
This daylily is a revolution in color, form and substance! The parent of a number of coveted newer Rice intros, it has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. Very beautiful, clean and waxen! One of our favorite daylilies and one of our most used breeding cultivars. Fertile both ways.
Bob Marley
Laprise, 2007
We like the singer Bob Marley. We LOVE the daylily Bob Marley! Brilliant orange blooms with a red eye/overlay are held on tall, well-branched scapes that progress to bud-building . We get a good measure of rebloom, with high budcounts. Plants have dark green foliage and exhibit northern hardiness. Fertile both ways.
Bright and Morning Star
Therrien, 2014
This Substantial Evidence kid looks like nothing else! It's gloriously flat, wonderfully spatulate, and divinely pigmented in lightest lemon and orchid-lavender. Oh, the places you'll go with this fertile rebloomer in your back pocket... stock is limited, but the possibilities are not.
