I going to try to convert it as I'd love to get this plant habit in the tet. teeth line. The white teeth at tet level would be especially fascinating. The daylily is very limited.

Red flower with a smokey pattern of light red, blending into a yellow green throat.  I was amazed at how this flower was so strongly hardy after the first winter which was extremely cold.  When it established it really put on a show with each bloom looking different each day.  Fertile both ways, but pods a little more difficult. .  A very popular daylily with the seed selling crowd and sold out very fast.

JACQUES’ GOLDFISH SPARKLES (SWEENEY 2024) (SF) TET, BROKEN, STRIPED FORMERLY APRICOT SPARKLES 3307 (VA VA VOOM X COLORFUL CHAOS R2D2) THE BLOOM IS 5 INCHES ON A SCAPE 25 INCHES TALL. 2X BR. 14 BUDS E, EV, REBLOOM IN CALIFORNIA As far as I know it is NOT related to the famous “UNDEFINABLE”. COLOR THAT I HAVE NOT SEEN IN A BROKEN PATTERNED DAYLILY…These are luscious colors..like a combo fruit salad of apricots and strawberries with ruffles of cantaloupe near the edge of the petal. .Very dark green throat..diamond dusted. The broken pattern is clear apricot with slices of strawberry on both the petals and the sepals..and it has ruffles and creasing and a tiny gold edge on the petals and nice wide blunt sepals. POD AND POLLEN FERTILE.

LIGHT FANDANGO /sold out (REIMER 2022) (SF) DIP, TEETH, BLUE Sdlg 93-15 (sdlg x sdlg) 5.5″ 32″ SEv M 4 br 12 buds I have never hybridized for teeth, but in 2015 this flower appeared as a new seedling with teeth on its petals. The teeth on its petals have been very consistent, and I do not think there are many diploids in commerce with teeth, so I kept it. Over the years its performance has been very consistent, with wiry but strong scapes, wide-angled branching and spacing. Its color varies from light reddish lavender to a medium purple; sometimes it looks like a bitone, sometimes the color is more uniform. Like many patterned daylilies, the watermark/pattern varies with the temperature. It nearly always has a watermark, although the watermark is sometimes subtle and other times has high contrast color with a jagged edge which matches the light teeth on the petals. It is easy pod and pollen fertile, has excellent sun resistance, and holds up in summer sun very well. It has been consistently rust resistant, with nice dark green foliage. It is a smaller bloom than the large ones that I prefer, at five inches in diameter, but its unique qualities make it worth introduction into commerce. I have several seedlings from it which also have teeth on the petals, but the teeth and the blooms are larger and more widely spaced than those on Light Fandango. Since I don’t hybridize for teeth, I have not exhausted its potential and hope for others to do so.

SOLD OUT.....LONG AGO IN A GALAXY FAR, FAR AWAY (Bush-C., 2015) height 20 in.(51 cm), bloom 5.5 in.(14 cm), season EM, Dormant, Tetraploid, Fragrant, 15 buds, 2 branches, (unknown × unknown) A bright rose red with some degree of yellow to cream showing through.  Every bloom is different and never stops amazing me with its changing look.  A must for people working with streak/stippled tetraploids.  It will pass on striped/stippled flowers when crossed with solid colored plants. 

SOLD OUT......LOTTA DOTTA TET, STIPPLED (Maryott 2015) (ARCTIC SUNRISE X STRIKINGLY DRAMATIC) 30", 5 inch, EMRe, fertile tetraploid and evergreen. We were blown away when this first bloomed. Totally unique. Cream petals (RHS 27A) and peculiar dotting in purple (RHS 53A). The dotting is always present, but sometimes the deep purple eye is deep in the throat and sometimes extends out onto the petals. This dotting is genetic and the children are also dotted. We expect this to be an important break in dotting. Depending on the heat, this cultivar has many different looks. The dotting will always be present, but more noticable the cooler the weather. MONET’S EYE 2590 (845 X FENG ZHU) DIP, SPOTS, STIPPLED 6 INCH FLOWER, 3 WAY BRANCHING, 15 BUDS, REBLOOM IN CALIFORNIA. FRAGRANT. A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF IMPRESSIONISM, ESPECIALLY MONET PAINTINGS OF GARDENS AND FLOWERS.. GORGEOUS 6 INCH RUFFLED CREAM COLORED BASE WITH A FINELY DOTTED EYE WITH DARKER EDGES BUT JUST DOTTED, NOT DISTINCT MASCARA OUTLINE. All the coloring is made of dots..except the large bright green throat. If you look closely you can see that after the main base color the dots start up again, culminating in a tight dark edge on the petals. The sepals just have shading in dots and a white edge, while the petals have a white edge after the dark one.,and do not overlap at the throat. Petals and sepals are ruffled with a large green throat with creases coming out from deep in the throat and it is fragrant. Pod and pollen fertile.

It was a early cool morning and I was checking the seedlings when I saw Monster Man bloom for the first time. I had never seen a hem like it before. It was open and had substance so thick! I looked at it multiple times. Then I had to go to work. I came home for lunch at noon. I went right over to it and it had continued to open all morning and was wider and open more. Since then I have noted that if the mornings are warmer then it is fully open early. It makes giant scapes and great branching. When established it sends up immediate rebloom scapes. Good breeder with lots of pods and pollen is very fertile. I have an 2022 introduction that I named Infertile Myrtle. It has never made seeds for me. This year I decided to try Monster Man pollen and I got several pods. Can't wait to see these bloom. The only flaw that I can see is that Monster Man tends to have some spots on the petals here.

Kennedy, THE MARTIAN was the only ORANGE to bloom.  In fact, I have been trying for some 8 years to get an ORANGE with that TRFK green throat with all the norms but to no avail. Then suddenly - Boom! there he is.  Yes, a daylily in alien coloration!!!  The CELERY thick green is everywhere and is completely DIAMOND DUSTED.  Surrounded in bright orange, you could be in your own south sea’s sunset right at home.

(Something Marvelous × Red Friday) Starts out with muted color but as the season progresses, splotches and stippling become bolder in color, showing more contrast. It actually took me a couple of years to really see what was happening as the plant matured. It is a rebloomer and quite fertile, setting pods while reblooming.

OPA’S WHISKERS (Grossmann, 2023) TEETH, TET (Seedling x Vampire Fish) Height 42 in., bloom 6 in., season M, Dor, Tetraploid, 22 buds, 4-3 branches. Huge white tentacles surround the lavender open form flower and yellow green throat. Makes a great clump in the garden with straight scapes and lots of showy flowers. Fertile both ways.

PURPLE VORTEX  /sold out (REIMER 2024) Sdlg 38-20 (sdlg x sdlg) 6″ 32″ E. Re. Dor 3 br 13 buds (2024) This richly colored purple has been a favorite of mine since its maiden bloom. The outer edges of the flower are very dark burgundy purple, gradually turning into a deep blue purple in the eyezone. The eyezone color changes to light blue veined bluish purple into white with a green throat. On some days, depending on the temperature, the edges of the white color on the sepals look like they were cut with pinking shears. The flowers early in the season can be as much as 7 inches, gradually settling down into 6 to 6.5 inches for the rest of the season. It has modest rollback, good substance and sun resistance. The scapes are strong and very upright; the branches are close together, so when the plants is in full bloom, the top of the plant is a solid sheet of purple. This is truly a magnificent purple; although it doesn’t have a broken pattern, the color variations in the bloom give that impression. The foliage is also upright, deep blue-green, and holds well throughout the season. So far it has never shown any rust in this garden. The overall effect is an upright strong-growing plant with a nosegay bloom habit of very colorful blooms. Easy pod and pollen fertile. Fairly rapid increase plus many prolifs.
