BICOLOR BONANZA/ sold out DIP (REIMER 2023) Sdlg 69-19 (sdlg x sdlg) 6.5″ 36″ SEv M – L Re 3 br 12 buds (2023) If ever there was a flower that you could say “glows in the dark,” Bicolor Bonanza would fit that description. This flower stands out in the garden with its contrast of large bright orange-red and gold blooms. This is an outstanding garden plant, with strong upright scapes that are completely weather resistant. The plant makes a nice tight nosegay of flowers, with good substance and outstanding sun resistance. The foliage is medium green and has shown excellent rust resistance. It is pod and pollen fertile.
I have seen dozens of these orange and gold bicolor flowered plants, but this one is by far the best of that type. It has moderate increase.

I LOVE IT… Very difficult pod setter.. maybe it is just waiting for the right love of its life….or maybe our cold nights all summer just aren’t conducive to setting pods.. It is 5.5 inches , 32 inches tall sev ,re, and the color is amazing..a gorgeous lilac with black eyezone, bright neon green throat, extending further out onto the sepals. The wide sepals have a darker lavender, washed flamestiched pattern after the green, and the petals are rimmed with black purple. It reblooms and has sturdy branches. The bearding is fairly consistent , especially with warmer nights...black at the bottom and whitish on the tips.

Sdlg 46-16 (sdlg x sdlg) 7″ 36″ SEv EM Re 3 br 12 buds DIP HYBRIDIZER’S DESCRIPTION: From its 2016 maiden bloom in the seedling patch, this plant has always been an interesting one. It has a mind of its own, deciding if and when it is going to show its color breaks. To this day, I still don’t understand what conditions are needed to produce the color breaks. Some years the breaks are very small or non-existent at the beginning of the season, then they become more numerous and bigger later in the season. Other years it starts off with considerable color break pattern early in the season and comes and goes in the rest of the season. It has rebloom characteristics most years in our garden. The blooms in ideal growing conditions can be as large as nine inches across early in the season. These early large blooms usually do not show the color breaks. The beauty of the large flat greenish yellow flowers, even after a 40 degree night, justifies having this plant in the garden, in my opinion. Generally speaking, as the season progresses and the flower size diminishes to the 7-inch range, the best color break patterns start to show up. Some years they are large and very intense, other times you might see one large blotch, a few dots, and a few stripes. These traits (in my hybridizing program) tend to be passed down to the offspring of this plant. Its down side is that it is a relatively slow increaser, and its bud count is lower that I would have hoped. I have bloomed out a number of its offspring with large size and differing shades of colors, such as light apricot and gold; some of these have even more color break pattern than Chimera Delight. One thing for sure is, you never know from day to day what to expect from the bloom on this plant. This plant has the habit of waiting two years after transplant to show the red colorbreak pattern. Plant it in your garden in 2022, and it will give you yellow blooms in 2023, and some red and yellow blooms in 2024. I have seen this pattern of behavior after two transplants in the last 6 years. The substance of this bloom is heavy and it has outstanding sun resistance. Although three branches is normal under good growing conditions, I have seen 5-way spaced branching on occasion with this plant. The plant has scapes that are strong and hold the flowers up well. It has reasonable fertility both ways. This plant has been very healthy and hardy with attractive foliage. It remains rust-free during the main growing season, but can show some signs of rust at the end of the growing season as the plants are shutting down. I would call it a semi-evergreen because it tends to keep short small leaf tips in the crown during the winter. In bitterly cold weather, the plant does go dormant. It has never shown any signs of winter injury in our coldest winters.

A hard dormant that goes down early. Fertile both ways. Will proliferate. I see a few blooms<5%) each year that are solid color, but even those are appealing because of the twisting of the petals. It was pure luck to get this result, but I am thrilled to see its late Very nice wide-spaced branching. The colors will have different patterns on different days-see below. The broken color trait may pass on to its seedlings. Several hybridizers have gotten positive results. I have one selfed seedling from EITPF. All segments will twist, spatulate and cascade depending on the day. Truly nothing else is like it out there. It has the plant habit to go with a truly unique bloom,with the bonus of extending the season with something you can't wait to see each day.

YOU CAN SEE ON THE RUFFLES, THAT THE WHITE IS ON THE EDGE. IT HAS THE LOVELIEST PATTERN OF LILAC AND PINK WITH A HINT OF BLUE TONES IN THE PATTERN LIKE AN ANTIQUE FLAME STICHED TAPESTRY, NEXT TO THE VERY GREEN THROAT. THE EDGING IS WHITE ,PINK AND MAGENTA, THREE DISTINCT BANDS..WHICH I LOVE. IT IS ALSO A VERY FLAT FORM, NOT TRUMPET SHAPED.

From its earliest blooms, it has been a favorite of mine. Although the color varies according to temperature, the predominant blue band in the bloom is a deep nearly blue jean blue. Some days the deep blue fades into a more bluish lavender, but the dark blue bands appear repeatedly during its bloom season. It has outstanding sun resistance, high rust resistance, and is dormant.It has good overall foliage. The scapes are strong, supporting the bloom well. It is fertile both ways, easy pod and pollen fertility. It has instant rebloom plus scattered rebloom later in the season. It has moderate substance and generally holds its flat form throughout the day. It is one of my favorite daylilies in the garden.

THIS 5 INCH FLOWER HAS TIGHT RUFFLING AND A WHITE EDGE ON THE SIDES OF THE PETALS AND A GREEN THROAT. THE SOLUTION TO THE MYSTERY OF THE WHITE BREAKS COULD BE AS SIMPLE AS WATER DRIPPING INTO THE THROAT AT NIGHT, OR SOMETHING ELSE AS IT HAPPENS 90% OF THE TIME. UNUSUAL, EXOTIC, ONE OF A KIND..

Clear pale petals host moon dusted teeth with indigo blue edges to match the spaced out blue eye. If you’re lucky enough to see a blue moon, just know the blue moon sees you too! Blue eye and edge on near white sends me to the moon! Big eye broken by dark veins, matching toothy edge, V shaped eye on sepals and solid green center. One of the best from YOGA MAN! Fertile both ways! Judy says: darker blue in the colder weather.

GET THE POINT ......HARD TO FIND, DIP with TEETH (SF) (DERROW 2023) GET THE POINT - diploid - (Sharin The Secret x Dream Sequence), height 36 in., bloom 7 in., season EM, Dormant, 35 buds, 5 branches, huge, open faced, flat blooms with bright pink petals and a very large yellow green throat, marked with many white teeth on petal edges. This plant begins blooming in llate June and continues into mid to late August on tall well branched scapes with arching blue-green foliage underneath. With good growing conditions and adequate water, it rapidly increases, creating large clumps. Fertile both ways, it is producing multiple toothy seedlings. I'm blown away by the size, vigor, color, fertility and of course, the teeth of this diploid beauty and feel it has the ability to impact diploid hybridizing just as much as my earlier introductions, Pink Stripes and Threadfall, have previously. ADDED : There’s a mistake on the registration bud count..it should read 25-30 buds, not 35..I have no idea how I made the mistake on the registration, but there its is. Give this plant some room when you plant it..it is one of the most vigorous daylilies I’ve ever seen, often tripling in size ofer the first few years int he garden

THE RICH PINK IS OUTLINED WITH A GOLD RUFFLED EDGING AND THE WATERMARK HAS A DARK PINK MASCARA LINE ON THE EDGE. NICE LIME GREEN THROAT.
